iCar Asia appoints Georg Chmiel to Board of Directors and strengthens executive team

iCar Asia Limited, owner of ASEAN’s largest network of automotive websites today announced the appointment of Georg Chmiel to the Board of Directors, effective immediately. Following Mr Chmiel’s appointment, is the announcement of PC Gan as Malaysian Country Manager and Alif Priyono as Indonesian Country Manager. All three appointments are in line with the company’s investment in long-term growth. Mr Chmiel brings over 23 years of experience in the financial services industry, online media and real estate industry. Mr Chmiel was most recently Managing Director and CEO of iProperty Group, the owner of Asia’s No. 1 network of property portal sites and related real estate services. He played a key role in finalizing the sale of iProperty Group to REA Group, Southeast Asia’s largest ever internet buyout. Prior to iProperty Group, Mr Chmiel was Managing Director and CEO of LJ Hooker Group with 700 offices across nine countries providing residential and commercial real estate as well as financial services. As Malaysian Country Manager, she will be overseeing Carlist.my and LiveLifeDrive effective December 1st. In conjunction with this internal move, Alif Priyono will be joining iCar Asia as Country Manager for Indonesia effective today. He will be responsible for the dayto-day operations of Mobil123.com and Otospirit, the leading classified and content sites in the country. Mr Priyono brings over 13 years of experience in a variety of industries ranging from internet classifieds, technology solutions, banking, multifinance to mobile marketing across both start-ups and enterprise corporates.
